Lewis Hamilton's father's cars up for auction: a total of 27 vehicles for sale.
Anthony Hamilton, father of seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, has decided to auction off part of his car collection. The 27 vehicles will be offered by Iconic Auctioneers.
Behind Lewis Hamilton's Formula 1 success lies the tireless dedication of his father, Anthony, who supported and guided the seven-time world champion's career from the very beginning—spanning everything from radio-controlled car racing to the pinnacle of professional motorsport. Anthony, the son of immigrants from the Caribbean island of Grenada who arrived in the UK in 1954, filled the dual role of parent and manager for years. It was he who supported Lewis during his early karting days and facilitated the crucial introduction to Ron Dennis, paving the way for the young driver to join McLaren's young driver program.
That marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey: in 2007, Lewis Hamilton made his Formula 1 debut with the McLaren team, going on to become world champion the very next season, in 2008. However, a significant turning point came in 2010: Lewis asked his father to step down as his manager and return solely to his role as a father. It was a decision made with considerable difficulty, yet it never resulted in Anthony staying away from the circuits.
To this day, he remains a constant presence in the pit lane, closely following his son's races and celebrating his achievements—which now total an all-time record of 106 victories.
Away from the racetrack, Anthony Hamilton has developed a great passion for road cars—particularly British sports cars—amassing a collection of rare and exquisite models over time. He has now decided to offer a selection of these automotive gems for sale through
Iconic Auctioneers. The auction will take place at the Silverstone circuit on July 25, 2026, and is sure to capture the attention of enthusiasts. The vehicles on offer include some of the most exclusive cars that have graced the garage of Hamilton "Senior."
