The 2026 edition of the Mille Miglia has concluded. The overall victory was achieved by the crew of Juan and Margarita Tonconogy, driving a magnificent 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Spider Zagato. This is the Argentine duo's fourth victory, following those achieved in the 2013, 2016, and 2018 editions.

SECOND TO THE VESCO-SALVNIELLI CREW

The Tonconogy team's success is even more significant because it ended Vesco's six-year uninterrupted dominance. The Vesco-Salvinelli team, racing in a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Spider Zagato, finished second overall, more than 700 points behind. Another Brescian team, the father-and-son Turelli-Turelli team, finished third, more than 2,000 points behind the top spot.

THE RETURN TO BRESCIA AND THE AWARDS CEREMONY

The 44th historical reenactment concluded amidst a spirit of great enthusiasm and participation. After traversing half of Italy, the race made its triumphant entry into Brescia, parading along the iconic Viale Venezia stage. The official awards ceremony, hosted by actress Martina Colombari, was held later that evening in the enchanting setting of Piazza Loggia.

THE CENTENARY IN 2027

The recently concluded edition represented, above all, a crucial bridge to the future. The Mille Miglia, described as "a love letter written on asphalt," harks back to an era of drivers with leather goggles and a temperament from another era. ACI Brescia President Aldo Bonomi revealed the new features for the 2027 edition, the year in which the centenary will be celebrated. The race will return in May, from the 22nd to the 29th, with the major innovation of a full six days of racing. Bonomi, however, reassured purists, confirming that the route will remain the Brescia-Rome-Brescia route.
