The Milano Portofino is OldCar24's flagship event, organized in collaboration with Scuderia Montenapoleone, which undeniably draws from the Milano è..Forte dei Marmi, an autumn event that ideally connects the "Pearl of Tigullio" to the "Queen of Versilia": Forte dei Marmi.
Ours is a calling: to take our crews to Italy's most scenic and glamorous locations. We want our events to be remembered for their sportiness and dynamism, but also for the comforting feeling of beauty and the nostalgia of returning. The Scuderia's goal is to cultivate relationships among Gentlemen Drivers, many of whom travel from abroad. Ours is a way of being, a question of style. We always strive to live up to this goal to offer our friends the utmost comfort and conviviality.
From Tigullio to Versilia
While the Ligurian coast is rugged, carved into the rock, with charming little beaches nestled in the greenery,
the Tuscan coastline is wide, long, and expansive, offering the unique and unmissable spectacle of the white Apuan Alps and the azure Tyrrhenian Sea.
This Italian landscape—beloved by Byron, Shelley, and the great Romantic poets and painters for its wild beauty—has changed today; where the south-westerly wind once swept the sand dunes, luxury hotels and elegant, exclusive beach resorts have sprung up.
But outside the summer season, you can still enjoy some views of the original, natural beauty, as depicted by
the Tuscan Macchiaioli.
The "Dolce Vita" in Versilia
Forte dei Marmi is the exclusive destination of elite international tourism.
The history of its lively social life dates back to the late 19th century, but it was in the early 20th century that the aristocracy and wealthy European bourgeoisie discovered this wonderful location and created the legendary Quartiere Roma Imperiale del Forte,
building sumptuous villas and Mediterranean gardens.
However, the legend of Forte is linked above all to the Agnelli family, who spent the summers there, adding the most exclusive glamour to the city's fame. The famous nightclub "La Capannina" became a legend, frequented by VIPs in the 1960s and 1970s.
With "La Bussola," Versilia attracted the most famous names of the jet set, the most famous Italian and foreign artists and singers.
The most beautiful cars, such as the Alfa Romeo Spider, the Fiat Barchetta, or the Fiat Boano Spiaggin, a leisure car with a sunroof, circulated here. It appeared in magazines around the world, with celebrities of the caliber of Gianni Agnelli and Aristotle Onassis aboard.
With the economic boom, Forte dei Marmi became the summer vacation destination of Milan's wealthy elite.
Returning to this place with classic cars, examples of the highest quality, will be like reliving that glorious era of economic prosperity and great Italian creativity, with the absolute excellence of the automotive industry.
The staff of Scuderia Montenapoleone and OldCar24 put their heart and soul into it, because they share with all the crews the same passion, the same tension on the road, and the same joy in the success of each day of the event.
On October 9th, the first skill tests will be held at a splendid estate in the Colli Pavesi area, with a coffee break, welcome address, and the distribution of race stamps and gadgets.
Then the tour will proceed to a charming location.
The evening will include a gala dinner with musical accompaniment.
On the morning of October 10, the convoy, once again composed of vintage cars and supercars, will head towards Forte dei Marmi.
Double the thrill: a splendid panorama of the routes where these marvelous vehicles will be the protagonists. For our Gentlemen Drivers, there will be fun and amusing skill tests, to share happy moments with the splendid cars that tell the story of Historic Motoring.
Upon arrival in Forte dei Marmi, a sumptuous lunch featuring the day's best catch will precede rest at the hotel. Those who wish will be able to take a stroll through the city center, where the luxury and elegance of the boutiques recreate the atmosphere of Versilia's golden years.
On Saturday evening, a great surprise: dinner will be served inside the "La Canniccia" racetrack. It will be a special and exciting evening, because the cars will be parked along the track!
On the morning of October 11, a cultural visit followed by skill tests on the Circuit. Retracing your steps isn't about repeating, but about rediscovering sensations, impressions, and thrills. It's about deepening an experience.
Followed by lunch at the hotel and awards!
