“75:1 – 75 Years, One Place”: an exhibition-event celebrating the 75th anniversary of Formula 1
Among the most anticipated new features is a journey retracing the technical, sporting, and cultural evolution of the world's premier motorsports competition, featuring authentic single-seaters from the 1950s to the 2000s. Among the highlights are three masterpieces held by the MAUTO – National Automobile Museum: the Ferrari 500 F2 (1952), a car that made history thanks to its simple yet effective mechanics, featuring a tubular chassis, De Dion rear axle, and dual-ignition engine with two twin-barrel carburetors. It is considered one of the most successful Ferraris of all time, a symbol of Enzo Ferrari's strategic choice to focus on Formula 2. Alberto Ascari won the world drivers' title with this car in 1952 and 1953.
The model on display is a gift from Enzo Ferrari, from Maranello (MO). The Mercedes-Benz W196R (1954) won the French Grand Prix on its debut and went on to win two consecutive world titles. Produced in just 15 examples, it was donated to MAUTO in 1957 by Daimler-Benz itself, with letters signed by Nallinger and Neubauer. At the wheel of the W196 R, Fangio won the world title in 1954 and 1955. The Ferrari 156 F1 (1963) was designed according to the regulations introduced in 1961 (maximum displacement of 1.5 litres and minimum weight of 450 kg).
The car definitively adopted the rear engine, with a 120° 1477 cc V6, more compact, lighter, and capable of over 190 hp. From the prestigious Nationales Automuseum – Loh Collection in Germany, Kimi Räikkönen's Ferrari F2007. This car, chassis number 262, represents the first Ferrari of the post-Schumacher era and, at the same time, the last single-seater to bring the drivers' world title back to Maranello. The car on display is the very one with which Kimi won the final race of the season in Brazil, clinching the Championship. Also on display are the single-seaters and models driven by timeless legends such as Phil Hill, Riccardo Patrese, Clay Ragazzoni, Gilles Villeneuve, and many others. Honda Classic: The History of the House of the Golden Wing Honda Motor Europe Ltd. Italia has chosen Auto e Moto d'Epoca to celebrate its legendary sporting history with Honda Classic, an extraordinary 600-square-meter exhibition featuring 38 iconic motorcycles dedicated to the passion for two wheels and the technological evolution that has made the House of the Golden Wing a global icon. The exhibition pays homage to the models that have shaped not only the brand's history, but also that of motorcycling and technology, offering visitors a true journey through time, divided into four thematic areasTwo-strokes made in Atessa: a selection of historic models produced at the Honda factory in Abruzzo, culminating with the NS 125 R Adriatico, the first motorcycle made in Italy and exported to the Japanese market. Grand Prix bikes: from Lucio Cecchinello's RS 125 GP to Johann Zarco's modern RC213V, passing through models that have made history in world competitions such as Biaggi and Gardner's NSR 250 and 500 and the iconic RC211V with which Hayden won the World Championship in 2006. Off-road area: space for the queens of off-road, from the legendary Elsinore CR250M to the more recent CR125, 250, and the legendary CR500, which have marked unforgettable eras in the Motocross World Championship. Production: An overview of the most iconic models in the Honda range, with the opportunity to admire true masterpieces up close, such as the CB750 Four, which rewrote the canon of production motorcycles; the VFR750R (RC30), which won riders' and manufacturers' titles in the nascent SBK championship; and the visionary NR750 with oval pistons. From Germany to Bologna: the Loh Collection at Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2025.
The Nationales Auto Museum – The Loh Collection arrives in Bologna. Among the cars on display is the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, originally built as a racing version and later converted to a road car thanks to special permission. Homologated for the GT1 category, 25 examples were produced between 1998 and 1999, after the end of the championship: 20 coupés and 5 roadsters. This model is the pre-production prototype, used as the official car for press and development. And the BMW M1 Procar, protagonist of one of the most spectacular series in motorsport history, with identical cars that allowed Formula 1 and touring car drivers to compete on equal terms. Niki Lauda won the inaugural 1979 championship with this M1, chassis 4301028, taking three victories. In 1980, the car passed to Hans-Joachim Stuck, who won in Monaco and finished third overall. He later raced with Steve O’Rourke’s “EMKA Racing” team, even taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Pink Floyd drummer and car enthusiast, Nick Mason.
The grand ASI Village in Hall 25: the first internal combustion engine in history. The Automotoclub Storico Italiano returns with over twenty federated clubs from across Italy and an unmissable preview: the first internal combustion engine in history: the Barsanti and Matteucci engine, designed and built in Tuscany in 1853. An all-Italian record rediscovered thanks to original documents preserved in Florence at the Museo Galileo, the Accademia dei Georgofili, and the Ximenian Observatory. Also on display is the Alfa Romeo 184T Formula 1, a single-seater with an unmistakable livery, which competed in the 1984 World Championship in the colors of Benetton. With chassis number 3, it was entrusted to American driver Eddie Cheever – with Riccardo Patrese on the team under the management of Scuderia Euroracing. The 184T has a carbon fiber chassis and is powered by a supercharged 90° V8 engine that develops 670 horsepower.
