This beautiful 1936 car sits at the heart of Italian motoring history. Considered the first true compact car made in Italy, the 508 is one of the most beautiful and rare Fiats of its era, the result of aerodynamic flow research by top engineers and tested in the laboratories of the University of Turin.
It is based on the 508 CS chassis, with a revised cylinder head and a new carburetor, delivering 36 hp combined with a 4-speed gearbox and modern hydraulic brakes.
In 1934, Fiat attempted to design a closed, weatherproof racing car for use in rallies.
The 508 Balilla CS was designed by Count Mario Revelli di Beaumont, one of Fiat's great designers before World War II. His innovative style earned him a leading role in the Carrozzerie Speciali del Lingotto workshop, where this car originates.

OUR PROTAGONIST
The example we present is extremely rare, as it is one of only eight produced. It also boasts an impressive track record, winning multiple competitions and participating in 22 editions of the Mille Miglia.
It was even featured in an article in the book "Mille Miglia".
This car is in excellent condition: it was restored in the 1970s. The engine has been completely overhauled and it is ASI Gold Plate certified.
