Lamborghini Jarama offered for sale by the Dutch dealership Gallery Aaldering
Designed by Gandini, it is the last front-engined GT made by the Sant'Agata Bolognese car manufacturer. Loved by Ferruccio Lamborghini.
The Lamborghini Jarama, designed by Marcello Gandini, was presented for the first time at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show. It was Ferruccio Lamborghini's personal car.
The range saw the arrival of the S or GTS in 1973, for a total of 330 units produced. A rather rare car with a design made of straight lines and stylistic solutions less harmonious than the previous Lamborghini models but which in a certain sense ideally allowed the birth of another important model, the Countach.
The Jarama is technically derived from the Islero and the 400 GT, of which it represents a direct evolution. The almost 4-liter V12 is identical, with double overhead camshaft for each bank and 6 horizontal carburetors, brought to a power of 350 HP at 7500 rpm which becomes 365 at 7500 rpm on the GTS and the chassis is identical. The Jarama is produced in two versions: Jarama GT from 1970 to 1972 (177 units) and Jarama GTS from 1972 to 1978 (150 units), distinguishable by some aesthetic details, such as the presence of the central air intake on the bonnet in the GTS, different rims and revisited interiors.
The Jarama is a car that is still loved today and difficult to find on the market.
The protagonist of the report is one of the rare examples offered for sale by the Aaaldering Gallery.
