Techno Classica Essen 2025: OldCar24 LIVE FROM PAVILLON 5
From Wednesday 9th April to Sunday 13th April 2025
From Wednesday 9 April to Sunday 13 April, the Messe in Essen will once again be the setting for one of the biggest classic car shows in the world; Techno Classica Essen.
OldCar24 is pleased to participate this year as an official Media Partner - we are present in Hall 5 - Stand 124. We present 4 German cars with important stories of collectors - users of our site:
BMW 327/28 1938
PORSCHE 356 A 1600 Cabriolet
MERCEDES BENZ 190 SL 1° series
BMW 1600 GT Coupè
In short, the description of the protagonists in our stand:
Porsche 356 A 1600 Cabriolet: officially presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1949, it mounts the VW 1.1 engine - developed and brought to 40 HP - of the original Type 64.
The body is made of steel.
This wonderful sports car, produced from 1948 to 1966, is considered the first series model produced by the Stuttgart company. It is a car that boasts exceptional qualities of handling, lightness and reliability.
The second car: Mercedes Benz 190 SL, eligible for the Mille Miglia. It is one of the first thousand produced exclusively for the American market, it is the nr° 788.
This luxurious car was presented in New York at the International Motor Show in 1954, with great success. The elegant and fluid line of the bodywork, the ice blue color, the light gray leather interior and the matching hood make it a masterpiece of style and refinement that makes it very rare for this color combination.
We recall that this model was the protagonist of the film “Hight Society”, with Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra, where it represented a status symbol of that privileged world.
The third car, BMW 327/28 Cabriolet, present in the stand, is a rarity produced in only 569 units.
It is still one of the most sought-after cars by collectors, as it is a very luxurious, two-tone cabriolet, with a refined interior and a large engine, that of the BMW 328 famous for having won numerous competitions.
The fourth car: BMW 1600 GT FRUA, known as the “German Ferrari”, was designed by Pietro Frua from Turin, one of the most famous stylists of the time. It is an Italian car with a “German heart”, with strong performance.
These 4 precious and rare cars are an opportunity for important and alternative investments, as well as gratifying and fulfilling for those who will own and drive them.
We look forward to seeing you in Hall 5 to admire our vehicles and the wonderful Techno Classica Essen Fair!
