This model was first presented at the Amsterdam Motor Show way back in 1948. According to the researches, it should have been sold in 1961 and brought back in England already in 1968. Twenty years later the first Land Rover was purchased by enthusiast from Birmingham, who, at first, had intention to restore the car, but, unfortunately, the project was not launched as planned and the Land Rover was left untouched in a field not far from the Solihull. The car has been recently found by a Team devoted to the program “Land Rover Series I Reborn”.
This vehicle with sturdy aluminium panels, galvanized chassis and removable floor mats, represents one of the typical series of models, launched before the mass production of Land Rover. During the restoration is expected patina “vintage” to be maintained, including vintage green paintwork.
