At Milano AutoClassica 2024, the celebrations will culminate in a gathering scheduled for next Saturday 16 November.
The 70th anniversary of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta will also be celebrated in 2024, with the first Sprint series. A model that contributed to the history of the automobile and which remains, even today, a point of reference for four-wheel enthusiasts. Presented on 21 April 1954 at the Turin Motor Show, the Giulietta quickly earned the nickname "Italy's sweetheart": the first Alfa Romeo with a female name to win the consensus of the general public. At Milano AutoClassica, at the Scuderia del Portello stand, in Pavilion 20, you can admire a rare pre-series Giulietta Sprint from 1955, recently restored by the Portello Factory which on this occasion will be presented to the public for the first time.
To celebrate the important milestone of the 70th anniversary of the Giulietta, there will also be space for the gathering on Saturday 16 November organized by the monthly magazine l'Automobileclassica, in collaboration with Youngclassic in the outdoor spaces of the event pavilions.
The editorial teams of the two publications will select the 70 models that best represent the most significant witnesses of all eras of the "girlfriend of Italy". The selection will be made up as follows: 50 Giuliettas from the first series created up to 1962; 15 Giuliette starting from the 1977 version; 5 Giuliettes of the years starting from 2010, with a particular set-up (For info and applications: www.lautomobile.aci.it).
On Friday 15 November at 7.30 pm, in collaboration with Ruoteclassiche (Editoriale Domus), the evocative Stella Polare Congress Center of Fiera Milano will host the invitation-only awards ceremony for the Best in Classic promoted by the newspaper, to celebrate all the best of historic motoring, expressed in nine categories.
The Fratelli Cozzi Museum returns to Milan AutoClassica with the preview of the third edition of the photographic exhibition “Women and Motors? ...joys and that's it” against gender stereotypes, created by Elisabetta Cozzi, President of the Museum. The theme of the exhibition is "sisterhood", through twenty images, signed by Camilla Albertini, of female personalities next to Alfa Romeos belonging to the Museum.
