COUNTDOWN TO AUTO E MOTO D'EPOCA 2024: PASSION RETURNS TO BOLOGNA.
Following the success of its first time in Bologna, this forty-first edition of Auto e Moto d’Epoca confirms itself as the European beating heart of passion for motoring
AUTO e MOTO d’EPOCA, the historic international exhibition dedicated to the world of Classics, is back in Bologna. “Following the success of its first time in Bologna, this forty-first edition of Auto e Moto d’Epoca confirms itself as the European beating heart of passion for motoring. The interest is high, the spaces at the exhibition hall have already sold out, even with the addition of the new exhibition hall 37 - comments Mario Carlo Baccaglini, CEO of Intermeeting. “We have confirmation from all the main dealers and traders, with the addition of new ones whom we met during our European tour which involved us attending the most important trade fairs in the industry. Auto e Moto d'Epoca is now consecrated at European level as the largest event in Europe dedicated to motoring passion.”
The exhibition spaces are confirmed: 235,000 m2, distributed in 14 exhibition halls to be discovered through 4 themed exhibition paths accompanying fans from 45 countries around the world, to experience the history, present and future of the automotive world: the World of Classics devised for visitors to meet those who preserve, hand down to new generations and regenerate the universal motoring heritage. Among this year’s news, Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club Italia, the Italian section of the English club that was established in December 1984 and this year celebrates its 40th anniversary. Today, with 90 national and international players, JEC is the largest Jaguar sports club in the world, boasting more than 14 thousand members. Alongside the many historic clubs, 2024 will see the Moretti Enonsolo Museum for the first time, dedicated to the coachbuilders and designers from Fifties and Sixties Turin. Car Path is an unrivalled collection of vintage cars and motorcycles for sale, from rare collectables to promising Instant Classics and Youngtimers. 7,000 cars for sale in 6 exhibition halls and 4 outdoor areas totalling 125,000 square metres of exhibition space. History, culture, innovation and engineering accompany and enrich every moment of your visit. The largest classic vehicle market in Europe. Next comes the Motorbike Path: 15,000 square metres for a veritable exhibition dedicated to all fans of classic motorbikes and new models alike, a cultural heritage brought together. The previews include a rare gem: the Ducati 500 GP driven by Phil Read in 1971, the bike that defined the 'classic' architecture of the Ducati twin cylinder still in use today. In addition, a retrospective is planned, dedicated to the rich tradition of the bike manufacturers from Bologna. Last but not least the Spare Parts Path: Europe’s largest line-up of vintage spare parts - from mechanics to engine electronics and interior components. In 2024, this path has been renovated to improve the visitor experience: all car parts and automobilia are gathered in Exhibition Hall 30, motorcycle parts in Hall 29, while Hall 28 is entirely dedicated to model making. European exhibitors are growing, especially from Germany and Spain, with an increasingly significant representation also from the new Eastern European market.
Many brands have already confirmed their presence, for a journey through car history to the new models placed on the market. Starting with the début at Auto e Moto d’Epoca of Volkswagen Italia which will be attending with a booth entirely dedicated to the celebration of the Golf’s 50th anniversary. The 8 generations of the German best-seller will be on show, including the newly updated version. Other activities envisaged involve owners and fans of the Golf, that human element that has decreed the success of a model sold so far in no less than 37 million units. For all fans, The Golf Lovers’ Collection competition, to win an experience at Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2024.
