At 11:30 am the Inaugural Conference “Sea Policies. New routes for Italy’s competitiveness, the prospects of the nautical industry”, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, Matteo Salvini, and organized by Confindustria Nautica. 
After greetings from Marco Bucci, Mayor of Genoa, Admiral Nicola Carlone, General Commander of the Port Authorities, Admiral Enrico Credendino, Chief of Staff of the Navy, Alessandro Piana, Acting President of the Liguria Region and Saverio Cecchi, President of Confindustria Nautica, the topics of the debate will be introduced by Andrea Razeto, President of I Saloni Nautici, Piero Formenti, CEO Zar Formenti, Alberto Galassi, CEO Gruppo Ferretti, and Massimo Perotti, President and CEO Sanlorenzo Yacht.
Moderated by Antonio Macaluso, editorialist of Corriere della Sera, Mario Zanetti, Delegate of the President of Confindustria for the Economy of the Sea, Matteo Zoppas, President of the ICE Agency, Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy through a video message and Matteo Salvini will take part in the debate. During the inaugural ceremony of the Boat Show, the Olympic triumphs of the Guardia di Finanza sailor Marta Magetti, gold medalist in the iQFOiL, and Francesco Bocciardo, gold medalist in the 200 meters freestyle category S5, two stars of Italian sport who lit up Paris 2024, will be celebrated.

THE 64TH INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW IN GENOA STARTS TOMORROW, SEPTEMBER 19TH

Forum24: the schedule of conferences and workshops of the Genoa Boat Show
At the same Blue Pavilion, the schedule of institutional events and workshops Forum24, sponsored by the European Commission, will start in the afternoon. The first of the events, at 2:30 pm, in the Forum Hall, “Boating Economic Forecast”, the presentation of the data on the performance of the nautical industry, collected in the publication Nautica in Cifre – LOG, Statistical Yearbook produced by the Confindustria Nautica Research Office in collaboration with the Edison Foundation, with the patronage of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. The analysis provides companies, operators and institutions with the official and updated economic framework of the punctual recreational nautical industry. The statistical report will be presented by Stefano Pagani Isnardi, Director of the Confindustria Nautica Research Office and by Prof. Marco Fortis, Vice President and Director of the Edison Foundation – Università Cattolica.

Also in the Forum Hall, at 3:45 pm, the Conference “Nautica, Fisco e Dogane” will be held, the traditional meeting to take stock of tax, customs and sector regulations, organized by Confindustria Nautica, where speakers will be Maurizio Balducci, Vice President of Confindustria Nautica, Claudio Oliviero, Director of the Customs Directorate of the Customs & Monopolies Agency, Sara Armella, of Armella & Associati, Ezio Vannucci, of Moores & Rowland Partner and Carolina Villa, Vice President of Assagenti. The meeting will be moderated by Roberto Neglia, Head of Institutional Relations of Confindustria Nautica.

The calendar of events for the first day of the event

The Eberhard & Co. Theatre events program opens with the America's Cup event at 2:00 p.m. This will be followed at 3:00 p.m. by the press conference of the Port Authority Corps - Coast Guard entitled: "E...state in sicurezza: i numeri del 2024" (Stay safe: the numbers of 2024) which will present the data relating to the activities carried out in the summer season.

The first day of the 64th Genoa International Boat Show will end at 7:00 p.m. with the new format "Bitta64", a series of cultural events hosted at the VIP Lounge in the Blue Pavilion. The series will open with Giovanni Grasso, journalist, writer and television and theatre author, who has been Advisor for press and communication to the President of the Republic since 2015, who will present his fourth novel "L'amore non lo vede nessuno" (Love Doesn't See No One), published by Rizzoli.
