TV series returned to popularity among the admires of classic cars after getting know about complete restoration of the famous Volvo P1800 used during the filming by Roger Moore.
At the moment of discovery of the car in 1991, Kevin Price member of the Volvo Enthusiasts Club saw that the car, that was completely forgotten by all in Sweden, was in very bad condition. It was dented and rust-colored. For this reason the car was painted in red, instead of white, its original color.
In spite of the bad conditions and difficulties, Kevin undertook the restoration the car that finished in 2013. The Team OldCar was able to find photos and information about the car in the archive of documents of Kevin Price.
The P1800 is not only loved and appreciated because of its design but it is also well known for being one of the highest certified mileage vehicles; Irv Gordon reached more than three million miles mark with his Volvo. A record that witnesses the mechanic reliability of this car.
