PASSION WINS IN BOLOGNA. CLASSIC CARS AND MOTORBIKES IS THE QUEEN OF EUROPE.
Great success for the Bologna premiere of Auto e Moto d'Epoca. Record number of clicks for OldCar24
Bologna, 29 October 2023, The numbers speak for themselves: 13 pavilions covering 235,000 square metres, 14 motor manufacturers, over 7,000 vintage cars and motorbikes, a full house of visitors over the four days of opening, many young people, a doubling of the public on the opening day dedicated to collectors and experts in the sector, with 35% foreigners.
After 39 years in Padua, the result of the move to the new premises at BolognaFiere was surprising.
The spaces doubled, which made it possible to bring to Bologna the most important exhibitors of classic cars, youngtimers and instant-classics in the world, with a very high quality of cars and motorbikes on display. Many enthusiasts came not only from Europe but also from the United States to admire a truly vast market offer. Great success also for the show dedicated to two-wheelers, 15,000 square metres hosting historical, racing and collectors' motorbikes.
After the first two days dedicated to enthusiasts and collectors, there was no shying away from the weekend crowd that crowded the exhibition halls, in a journey through time that started with masterpieces of automotive history from the main European museums and moved on to the iconic cars and motorbikes of the past and the unique models of the manufacturers. Plus curiosities and gems: the first car built by Enzo Ferrari, Clint Eastwood's Ferrari and the Ducati with which Lucio Dalla used to return home after concerts. "The move to Bologna was crowned by an astonishing success in terms of exhibitors and public," says Mario Carlo Baccaglini, organiser of Auto e Moto d'Epoca, "and by the confirmation that the culture and market of historic cars and motorbikes involve a vast community of enthusiasts, both Italian and foreign.
Thanks to an immense and coordinated effort, it was possible to bring to Auto e Moto d'Epoca quality examples, unique in their kind, capable of satisfying the tastes and passions of professionals and young collectors. There was also great satisfaction for two-wheelers, to whom we dedicated an entire pavilion for the first year, with amazing models and exclusive gems.
The important presence of new generations and foreigners leads us to recognise Auto e Moto d'Epoca as a crossroads between Europe and the Motor Valley, and positions us as the most significant fair on the European scene'.
