Monaco Classic Week is the biennial event organised since 1994 by the Yacht Club de Monaco ( www.yacht-club-monaco.mc ). 
An exclusive and unique event, with invitation-only participation of boats, in which homage is paid to the international maritime heritage. Races on the water and meetings between crews will be organised, in the wake of the centuries-old tradition of a certain 'Art de Vivre la Mer' so dear to the YCM. The line-up that will fill the harbour will consist of a dozen vintage motoryachts, 50 vintage motorboats, including some 30 Rivas and 3 motorboats from the early 20th century, 50 vintage sailboats and a fleet of some 20 Dinghys 12' , the small 3.66-metre-long mahogany dinghy created in 1913 by the Englishman George Cockshott.

Monaco Classic Week will also feature Tuiga , the 1909 flagship of the Yacht Club de Monaco, Maliclaire , a 35-metre-long cage schooner also dating from 1909, Creole , a 65-metre-long three-masted schooner built in 1927 by Camper & Nicholsons, as well as Atlantic , a replica of the famous schooner that left its mark on history by setting the first North Atlantic crossing record, unmatched for 75 years, with the legendary Charlie Barr at the helm. This year the public and vintage yacht enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to visit a photo exhibition dedicated to Prince Ranieri III, in the year in which the Principality celebrates the centenary of his birth. It was Ranieri III himself, a lover of sailing, who 70 years ago founded the Yacht Club de Monaco, today presided over by his son Albert II, the current sovereign prince. Access to the quays and the Exhibitors' Village (painters, photographers, craftsmen, official YCM Boutique) will be free to all from Wednesday 13 September at 10.00 am.

The coveted La Belle Restoration Prize rewards the quality of the restoration work carried out on these boats, many of which are over a hundred years old, judged by a jury chaired by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and composed of experts in yachting history. Votes are awarded based on respect for the original designs, the materials used in their construction and the knowledge of those who restored them. The Concours d'Elegance is also judged by the same Jury, whose task is to evaluate the boats based on etiquette, style and respect for a certain lifestyle and conduct at sea, all in a festive and fun spirit. Both awards are combined to decide the winner of the Monaco Classic Week Prize, which encompasses all the criteria assessed in terms of restoration and elegance plus a coup de cœur (favourite) element for the spirit that prevails on board among the crew, as well as maintenance and restoration. The grand finale concluding Monaco Classic Week will be a grand parade, when the participants will gather just outside the Oceanographic Museum to parade one after the other eastwards towards Larvotto beach.
