Ferrari 250 GTO is celebrating its 55 years with a rally at Maranello

Ferrari 250 GTO, one of the most wanted and valorous cars in the world reaches the age of 55, and to celebrate it, yesterday in Mother House of Cavallino was held a rally. The previous week there were 18 examples of the 36 constructed that crossed the Tuscany. Many 250 GTO that were based in Florence have travelled the hills of Chianti. In honor of the history that is full of sport victories they drove around Mugello's Circuit. The excellent rally came back through part of the route of Mille Miglia and Fiorano Circuit till the factory of Cavallino Rampante.

250 GTO was able to get many acknowledgments over the years. It was produced between 1962 to 1964, the berlinetta has two seats motor V12 from 3,0 liters and 302 horsepower. American magazines get always more and more attracted to the charm of Cavallino. They have recognized it many times in their ranking as the best sport car of the 60's. For "Motor Trend Classic" it has been the best Ferrari of all time. One of the last transactions dates back to 2013 when a 250 GTO was sold to an anonymous purchaser, a Connecticut collector, for 52 million dollars.
