The creator, Bob Carnes, wanted to build the fastest, safest, and most reliable sports car in America. Carnes built a handful of models, perfecting the car with each subsequent model.  Today these cars are considered to be one of the most important American sports cars of the 1950s. These fiberglass beauties were ahead of their time in design and performance and rarely come on to the open market. 
Offered today are two superior supercharged Bocar models.

The Bocar Stiletto is pure racing machine. Only three Stilettos are thought to have been built. This is one of the two survivors and the only supercharged Stiletto. This ex-Bob Carnes "team" car was built to compete against the Scarabs. Carnes raced this Stiletto at Daytona, Pikes Peak (in the snow!) and even drag raced it. After Carnes, the Stiletto was raced by Bob Spooner (who ran the Purple People Eater Corvette) including competing at the 1963 USRRC race at Road America. The Stiletto retains its 1963 USRRC livery to this day.

Stiletto Bocar

With a GMC 471 blower, crank driven through a pot Vin adapter and pumping into a Rochester fuel injector and with a razor Brown 37r roller cam the 283 cubic inch Corvette engine can push the car through the quarter mile clocks at close to 120 mph and 11.81 seconds. There are few cars capable of outbreaking the Stiletto. Centered iron linings and 11-in aluminum drums stock Corvette just don't give up under the rigors of road racing and breaking traction on all four wheels is about equal.

The Bocar Stiletto recently went through some major safety modifications and upgrades. The suspension, fuel tank, and engine were all updated as well as the addition of a roll cage. The motor is freshly rebuilt with 0- miles by Ted Wenz;  The V-8 Guru from Savannah Motorsports

1959 Bocar XP-7R
The XP-7R was the supercharged version of the XP-7 with only three ever built (001, 002 and 003).  In fact, this is the last car built by Bob Carnes and the only one that was not actively raced with the exception of a few "retro rally social events".  Registered for the road and used solely as a road car by the owner who has had the car since 2005 this sleek beauty is a welcome addition to numerous vintage driving events.
