The 6th consecutive triumph at GP Nuvolari 2017 for Vesco-Guerini with 1939 BMW 328
Andrea Vesco and Andrea Guerini have conquered the victory of the 27th edition of Gran Premio Nuvolari for the 6th year in a row. It's the 7th victory in the history of Vesco-Guerini after winning the Mille Miglia previously this year. The Brescian crew was able to take the first place with their 1939 BMW 328. It was as well remarkable the performance of the crew made up of Juan Tonconogy and Barbara Ruffini who won second place with 1927 Bugatti TYPE40. Congratulations also for the team n.39 of Berlometti-Vavassori which arrived at the third position with a 1932 Fiat 508 Balilla Spider Sport.
This wonderful victory witnesses extraordinary skills of the reigning champions who specifically for this 27th edition decided to race with a car with a lower coefficient compared to previous years, in fact instead of 1934 Fiat 508 S Balilla Sport they chose the one of 1939. The torrential rain and the very treacherous turns during the second stage that tested the teams abilities and their resistance was not able to obstruct crews' intention to successfully compete the race and prove their high professional skills.
There were 300 crews that started the 1050 km race and 256 of them were able to cross the finish line going through wonderful places like Urbano, Arezzo, Siena, Ferrara and racetracks of Modena and Misano.
The Gran Premio Nuvolari is an unique adventure, if not the most beautiful race in the world according to the fans and participants. The competition is made with joy, sportsmanship but also a very good preparation.
Andrea Vesco, winner of the 27th edition of GP Nuvolari said "The GP Nuvolari 2017 has been without doubt a very hard competition. Considering also the fact that we drove a different vehicle from the usual one, of course winning it gave us enormous pleasure. This competition differs from the Mille Miglia in duration of the route and in procedure for calculating the scores. The Argentineans put us under a very heavy pressure. Thanks to the excellent work of the organization, the race has become much more international and competitive."
