Lamborghini Miura di Dallara purchases "Salon Prive "
Miura P400, owned by Gian Paolo Dallara, chassis n.3165, has participated in Salon Prive Chubb Insurance Concours d’Élégance and earned the 1st place in the category "Evolution of the supercar pinups". The car won the prestigious recognition only a month after the end of its long restoration at Lamborghini Polo Storico.
Gian Paolo Dallara, tecnical director of Lamborghini from 1963 to 1969, has been one of the fathers of Miura together with Paolo Stanzani and designer Marcello Gandini. Recently it was purchased the model with chassis n.68 and engine n. 1400 originally from Parma. The complete restoration of the above-mentioned white car with black interior has been entrusted to Lamborghini Polo Storico. The restoration of the car to take it back to its former splendor , required more than 1 year and 3.000 working hours.
Dallara stated in an interview how tied he was to this model since it represents an incredible moment of his life. This perfectly renewed, prestigious car, winner of the competition of the elegance has conquered the hearts of all enthusiasts for classic cars.
The event Salon Privé takes place every year at Blenheim Palace, in Great Britain. Chubb Insurance Concours d’Élégance this year anticipated seven categories with more than 60 participating vehicles.
