The event, promoted by the Veteran Car Club Ligure, coincides with the 100th anniversary of the famous competition, which started on 22nd August 1922.
Uphill speed race on the Giovi pass, the Ligurian Apennine pass (472 m.s l.m) between Mignanego and Busalla.

The most prestigious sports cars in history and the most famous drivers, from Tazio Nuvolari in 1931, in an Alfa Romeo 8c 2300 Monza, to Nino Farina in 1938, still in an Alfa Romeo, participated in this historic race from the very beginning. This year the pleasant Ligurian hinterland welcomed the glorious "ladies" of motor racing from various eras.
An early 1900s Fiat, still perfect and functional, opened the show, followed by a very elegant Balilla Coppa d'Oro; a one-off Lancia Aprilia barchetta and the 1000 Miglia Abarth barchetta from the 1950s.
Worthy of note is a Mercedes Benz 300 SL in the two most exclusive versions, both Ali di gabbiamo and roadster, Lancia Appia Zagato, Cisitalia 202, a rare BMW 1600 GT Coupe 'Frua, in the shining blue livery and other special cars including the Alfa 2600 touring spider from the Sixties, stately and elegant; among the sports cars we mention the presence of a Porsche 356 set up for competition in blue livery and many other cars of great value.

OldCar24, partner of the event, offered to the Veteran Car Club Ligure, in memory of this important edition that celebrated the 100th anniversary of the race, an artistic interpretation made by Autorilievi, of the Alfetta 158 single-seater, the car with which Nino Farina won the Italian Grand Prix in 1950. We recall that the driver also participated in an edition of the Pontedecimo Giovi in 1938, always with an Alfa Romeo, obtaining an excellent result.
