THE 1st AUTOLOOK WEEK CLOSES WITH A TRIUMPH OF PARTICIPANTS, A CROWD IN SAN CARLO SQUARE TAKES IN SUPERCAR PARADE
The first edition of Autolook Week Torino, the motorsport festival that brought Formula 1, Endurance, Rally and Moto GP models to Piazza San Carlo, as well as supercars and over 100-year-old classic cars, closed with a resounding success.
A good first for the open-air and free event that for five days attracted fans to Piazza San Carlo, involved in a calendar of events and meetings featuring drivers and motorsport legends. Andrea Levy, President of Autolook Week Torino: 'We believed in it, and our partners, such as the Piedmont Region, the City of Turin, ACI and Automobile Club Torino, and Fondazione CRT, believed in it with us. During these days we have seen the passion that motorsport arouses, especially in the new generations who queued up for autographs and photos with their idols, and we have also seen how important the link with the history of the automotive industry is for Turin'.
Andrea Tronzano, Councillor for Budget and Finance of the Piedmont Region: 'We had no doubts in supporting Autolook, a project that was presented to us months ago and that immediately impressed us with its ability to involve the public. The car and the territory deserved five days like these, of packed squares and enthusiasm. This is the right road'.
Mimmo Carretta, Councillor for Major Events, Tourism and Sport, City of Turin: 'We worked with the organisers to create an event that would be as engaging as possible for our city, that would bring the people of Turin back to live and enjoy the streets of Turin, that would make them proud. Given the public turnout that Autolook recorded over five days, I would say that we succeeded'.
