Genoa, 28th March 2022 - Just a few days separate us from the start of the XIII Historical Re-enactment of the Coppa Milano - Sanremo, the most fascinating and historic race in Italy, scheduled from 31st March to 2nd April 2022.
The "Lady" of the races is preparing for an edition full of unmissable novelties, both logistical and sporting, in a perfect blend of competition and spectacle, tradition and savoir faire, elements that have made the Coppa Milano-Sanremo since 1906 an unmissable event with a unique and exclusive appeal for gentlemen drivers and personalities from the international jet set.
The event, reconfirmed as a protagonist in the 2022 Italian Great Events Championship of ACI Sport, reserved for the most important classic regularity races, points the lights on Liguria, a region that will enthusiastically welcome the crews and will host an important part of the competition.

COPPA MILANO-SANREMO: EVERYTHING READY FOR THE START OF THE XIII HISTORICAL COMMEMORATION

Gianni Berrino, Councillor for Tourism and Major Events of the Liguria Region says: "By now the Historical Re-enactment of the Coppa Milano-Sanremo has become a fixed appointment for all motor fans and not only: every year it is more and more fascinating and it is an alternative way to enhance our coast and our hinterland. This fascination is due to the mix of the spectacle provided by the marvellous vintage racing cars that speed through the winding, but at the same time enchanting, roads of Liguria. From Rapallo to Sanremo, passing through Genoa and tackling the bends of the Turchino, Faiallo, Colle del Melogno and d'Oggia: this year it will be a challenging route but one that I'm sure the competing crews will appreciate for the breathtaking landscapes and sheer drop to the sea that they will be able to admire on board their beautiful cars".

Simona Ferro, Sports Councillor of the Liguria Region said:  "The 13th edition of the historic commemoration of the Coppa Milano Sanremo will open next 31 March with a tribute to the first 100 years of the Monza circuit, which is a real temple of racing, so next Thursday the heirs of the oldest car race in Italy will find themselves for a unique experience in the realm of speed that will allow them to test themselves in 12 new special stages on the iconic track that also includes the ancient and legendary elevated roads and some parts used exclusively in the recent ACI Rally Monza, final round of the FIA World Rally Championship - says the Councillor for Sport of Regione Liguria Simona Ferro who continues - after this exciting start, the race will start on Friday, April 1 with the descent in Liguria from Lombardy through Piedmont with a series of time trials and skills from the high competitive rate. Finally, after the parade of these ladies of the road in the beautiful Portofino, Saturday, April 2 will continue to Sanremo not before passing through Genoa and over one hundred special stages including the treacherous curves of the Passo del Turchino, Passo del Faiallo, Colle d'Oggia and Melogno, before continuing to Loano and finally reaching Sanremo. A three days of spectacle and technical tests in which Liguria will be the protagonist with its winding roads and its sinuous curves, a real obstacle for the gentlemen drivers who will cross it".
