THE "JEWELS" OF FRANCO RAGNI WITH THE SAME FAMILY IN THE SAME CITY, SINCE 88 YEARS
The art of creating coats of arms, friezes, writings for the most important car manufacturers and custom cars.
1934 - Franco Ragni founds a company of car friezes and brands, in Turin in the heart of S.Salvario.
They are worked with the skill of a goldsmith, according to an ancient tradition of coining in metal, entirely done by hand and with original equipment.
The piece - logo, distinctive emblem or plate - after the hand finishing, passes to the polish enamelling, a very delicate operation, which covers the object with a glassy substance and makes it colored and translucent.
With this technique, Franco Ragni has decorated the cars of the most prestigious car manufacturers from the 1930s to today: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Pininfarina, Bertone, Michelotti, Vignale, Allemano, Ghia, Bizzarrini, Abarth & C. for which it has created small masterpieces from exclusive design.
Famous are the "flags", rigorously enamelled ornaments for cars.
Born as a personalized decoration of the Pininfarina and Vignale coachbuilders, the flags, using the nautical alphabet with its bright colors, "crossed" the model of the car with the initial of their name, subsequently 'enlarged' with national flags and black and white chess as an accessory for any car.
The National Automobile Museum of Turin possesses a rich collection of period friezes by Franco Ragni, donated by his son Roberto after the death of the founder.
The company's engravers are able to reproduce with absolute fidelity and quality the lost original marks that are no longer available in the company's historical archives.
