Milan, 15 March 2022 - With only a few weeks to go before the start, expectations are growing for the XIII Rievocazione Storica of the Coppa Milano - Sanremo, the most charming and prestigious race in Italy, scheduled from 31 March to 2 April 2022. The event is reconfirmed as a protagonist within the 2022 Italian Great Events Championship of ACI Sport, reserved to the most important classic regularity races. 
The "Lady" of the races is preparing for an edition full of unmissable novelties, logistical and sporting, in a perfect mix of competition and spectacle that has always distinguished the Coppa Milano-Sanremo, an unforgettable occasion of entertainment with a unique and exclusive charm for Italian and foreign crews, male and female.
The XIII Rievocazione Storica boasts illustrious partners: Urban Up | Unipol, the project dedicated to the enhancement of the real estate assets of the Unipol Group, and Mercedes-Benz, as institutional partner of the event, through its official dealer Merbag S.p.A. Among the important partners, there is the consolidated collaboration with Cuvage, the Italian excellence of classic method sparkling wine, which will be official supplier of the race for the beverage sector, Marina di Loano S.p.A., which will host one of the most fascinating stages of the route, Tag Heuer - Official Time Keeper, Riva - Brand Experience Santa Margherita Ligure and Milano Verticale| UNA Esperienze, exclusive location of the opening evening.

Programme of the XIII Rievocazione Storica:
Numerous new features are planned, first and foremost the route which, for over 700 kilometres, will offer the "cars of yesteryear" the chance to discover timelessly fascinating landscapes, alternating pleasant views with urban scenery through the territories of Lombardy, Piedmont and Liguria until reaching the evocative Côte d'Azur.
The Coppa Milano-Sanremo will officially start for the first time on Thursday 31 March at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, a cult location for motorsport. Here the event, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Autodromo, will pay homage to the legendary Temple of Speed with an unprecedented experience reserved for participants. In fact, in addition to the traditional technical and sporting checks and the always exciting free laps on the track, the classic enthusiasts will have the opportunity to test themselves in 12 new special stages on the iconic track that will also include the ancient and legendary elevated roads and some parts used exclusively in the recent ACI Rally Monza, the final round of the FIA World Rally Championship.
Three days of actual competition, during which the crews will be able to challenge each other in over 100 special stages, making the race even more exciting and captivating from a sporting point of view.
In the afternoon, the inaugural parade of cars will leave for Milan to be presented in front of the historic headquarters of AC Milano in Corso Venezia, in the heart of the city. 
The day will end with the official opening that will take place in the fascinating spaces of the urban garden of Milano Verticale | UNA Esperienze, located in the Porta Nuova - Garibaldi - Corso Como district.
"The Historical Re-enactment of the Coppa Milano-Sanremo has been confirmed as an important event within the 2022 Italian Great Events Championship of ACI Sport, which has events rich in charm and culture on its calendar," says Geronimo La Russa, president of Automobile Club Milano. 
"The success and the following of the 'Coppa Milano Sanremo' are there for all to see. And it couldn't be any other way: it is the oldest car race in Italy, which was held for the first time in 1906, a year before the cycle race of the same name. In the next edition too, the top regularity drivers will be able to compete on a complex and satisfying route from an exquisitely sporting point of view," concluded President La Russa.

Alle prime luci di venerdì 1 aprile gli equipaggi partiranno da Piazza XXV Aprile per confrontarsi in esclusiva assoluta con una serie di avvincenti prove cronometrate che per la prima volta si terranno in un inedito contesto urbano. Sarà infatti THE DAP – Dei Missaglia Art Park, ad accogliere questa particolare experience che si inserisce nel progetto INOLTRE di Urban Up | Unipol dedicato alla rigenerazione delle periferie milanesi di cui THE DAP è il più recente e importante tassello, sposando perfettamente l’importante programma di valorizzazione del territorio che la Coppa Milano-Sanremo porta avanti anno dopo anno.
A fare da sfondo alla prima tappa della gara lo splendido scenario naturale che si snoda nell’entroterra tra Piemonte e Liguria e che accompagnerà gli equipaggi, dopo un piacevole break intermedio ad Acqui Terme presso le Cantine Cuvage, fino alla tappa intermedia di Rapallo, per poi concludersi con l’imperdibile défilé riservato alle auto partecipanti, nell’affascinante cornice della Marina di Portofino. 

Sabato 2 aprile gli equipaggi si vedranno protagonisti delle ultime combattute sfide: dopo la tradizionale ripartenza da Rapallo si addentreranno nel cuore di Genova, affronteranno dopo oltre cento prove speciali (di cui sei a media) le insidiose curve del Passo del Turchino, del Passo del Faiallo, del Colle d’Oggia e del Melogno, per poi sostare per un light lunch presso la prestigiosa cornice dello Yacht Club di Marina di Loano. La gara vedrà il volgere a termine della parte sportiva a Sanremo, la celebre Città dei Fiori, con la tradizionale sfilata. 
Nell’ottica di garantire alla competizione un’esperienza unica di respiro cosmopolita, la Coppa Milano-Sanremo farà il suo ritorno nel Principato di Monaco, culla del glamour internazionale, nella cornice del prestigioso Hotel Fairmont per l’indimenticabile gala dinner e la cerimonia finale di premiazione. Una conclusione per suggellare il gemellaggio virtuale fra l’Autodromo di Monza e il Principato di Monaco, a omaggio di due luoghi iconici, culto del motorsport mondiale.
Tradizione, competizione, eleganza e savoir faire: gli elementi che, in un blend perfetto, rendono dal 1906 la Coppa Milano-Sanremo un appuntamento irrinunciabile e dal fascino intramontabile per gentlemen drivers e personaggi del jet set internazionale. 
L’evento blasonato è la seconda prova del Campionato Italiano Grandi Eventi di ACI Sport, del quale fanno parte anche la Coppa delle Alpi, la Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti, il Gran Premio Nuvolari e la Targa Florio Classica.

VETTURE AMMESSE
La partecipazione alla corsa sarà alle auto costruite tra il 1906 e il 1990, munite di passaporto F.I.V.A., o di fiche F.I.A. Heritage, o di omologazione A.S.I., o fiche A.C.I. Sport, o appartenenti ad un registro di marca, per abbracciare l’importante patrimonio storico dei diversi raggruppamenti. A seguito del forte riscontro della passata edizione e con l’intento di ampliare i target di riferimento, l’Organizzazione riproporrà un’ulteriore categoria riservata a youngtimer, instant classic e supercar moderne denominata “Rendez-Vous”.
