The Queen of Queens: Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Pininfarina Sport Motore Avanzato
One of the two models produced in 1951
Queen of the show is one of the two examples of Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SPORT MOTORE AVANZATO in blue livery produced in 1951.
Still today the above-mentioned model remains a symbol of luxury and reflects the time of economic recovery of Italy, that was trying to emerge from the lengthy dark period. The years between the Fifties and the Sixties represent a period of bright economy. A great desire for growth of excellent workers and their passion, ingenuity, dedication, creativity and innovation contributed to create these moving pieces of art, the 6C. In Italy these cars were definitely praiseworthy examples of work, carried out at that time when the cars were considered as a luxury.
As we get deeper to the interior of this majestic berlina, completely made in Italy, strangely it's not much felt the lack of briars, the typical English vehicles scent of connolly leather that is magnificent for all car enthusiasts. Moreover here echoes an austere area that contains an unique perfume, the "profumo d'epoca" (the scent of epoch) given by the interior that is still spotless, extraordinarily original, like the velvet and the seam: all these characteristics underline the sure origin of the model.
The reason why the car has remained original and unique is the fact that it has been owned only by one family. In fact documents and plates of the car prove that a Milanese family was in possession of the model throughout all these years.
Delighted by the interior of the car we get surprised, when after turning the key we hear a silent and quiet sound of the six cylinder engine like if it does not want to interrupt the peace that reigns supreme over the interior. Gear changes are even more delicate, and when roads let us, we set a 120 km/h speed. Softness of the suspensions make it possible to drive a long journey, during which passengers can even relax and experience the emotions of the 50's.
