Auto e Moto d'Epoca in Padua attracts a record-breaking number of more than 100.000 viewer
An unprecedented success witnesses increasing interest in historical cars, and in 2017 the city of Padua will host this incredible event.
Auto e Moto d'Epoca (vintage cars and motorcycles show) continues to stun the world with a success exceeding expectations (100.000 visitors for the whole exhibition and 30.000 in “fuorisalone”) and with the announcement -made by Mario Carlo Baccaglini, patron of the event and Massimo Bitonci, mayor of Padua- that the Salone that has been held for 33 years, will be returning to Padua next year with a larger exhibition area. In fact the event will last one week and it will be held also in the city, with many squares dedicated to motor culture: some of the most famous motor manufacturers appreciated the idea, and they will take stage in the different squares.
In short, the whole Padua city will become a great edition of Auto e Moto d'Epoca. Mayor of Padua stated: “We are committed to re-launching the idea of bringing the vintage cars out of the fair and putting them in the squares. For that aim we have already invested 4,5 million euros”. ACI chairman Angelo Sticchi Damiani commented on the 4 days of event dedicated to the passion for cars: “It seems to me that this edition is the most beautiful, complete and emotional among the others that I have ever seen. I'm very happy also because we were able to show, in the space that was given to us, all our excellences, our projects and programs such as Targa Florio, Gran Premio d'Italia in Monza and also giving a right amount of emphasis to all the clubs that are associated with ACI Storico. ACI Storico, established 4 years ago, is an organization whose object is to be at the service of small and major collectors and help all of them, even those who don’t own any car but have great passion for the automobile history”.
ASI (Italian Historical Cars and Motorcycles Association) has celebrated its first 50 years in Padua. In the same city at Auto e Moto D'Epoca ASI presented its three books: “ASI 50, 1966-2016” written by Danilo Castellarin, “Potenza in punta di piedi” of the famous driver Carlo Facetti and “Il paradigma Scaglione' written by Massimo Grandi that is dedicated to one of the greatest exponents of design, Franco Scaglione after 100 years of its birth.
It was also held a celebration of Lamborghini's historical heritage for the 50th anniversary of Miura. The important birthday of the most iconic car of the company was celebrated with the exhibition of one example in metallic green color (chassis number 4846), that was exposed in 1971 at Geneva Motor Show on the occasion of Miura SV release.
