BMW Z8: STEVE JOBS ‘S CAR IN REALITY, AT CINEMA 007
A car worthy of James Bond.
Appears in the film “THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH 007”, starring Pierce Brosnam and directed by Michael Apted.
Not only that, but the BMW Z8 was the personal car of Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, who distinguished it with the logo of his name “Jobs Z8”. After his early death, in 2001, the car went to auction at Sotheby’s in New York in 2017, winning € 279,500. Solid as all German cars, beauriful for the visual compactness of its shape, the Z8 was designed by Hans Rathgehber, and presented at the Los Angeles Motor Show.
It was produced from 2000 to 2003, in the roadster version, for a total of 5,703 specimens. The uncovered two - seater car was convertible,on request, into a coupe thanks to the hard top.
