MASERATI GHIBLI, AN ENGINEERING GEM COMBINED WITH A DESIGN OF GREAT CHARM AND UNPARALLELED AERODYNAMICS,THANKS TO GIORGETTO GIUGIARO

The Maserati Ghibli coupè was presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1966, equipped with a 4,7- liter V-cylinder 8-cylinder engine, with four Solex double- body carburettors and 315 cv sufficient to run the Ghibli, a namethat refers to the wind of the desert, in the true sense of the world in the wind at a speed of 270 km/h... numbers important for this time.
To support important performances besides the refined mechanics, the meritis also of the design, with a “particularly long and flat bonnet,a full- width grille, a strongly angled windscreen and extremely clean sides”, for something unique, this is the result of Giorgetto Giugiaro’s pencil with the support of the Ghia bodywork.
When today we see in the street a vehicle of this kind and of this tickness, the gaze is astonished and one remains dazzled, and thinks, made in Italy alive, the custom- built cars,and allthe Italian creativity that he created at that time means that are pieces of history,today a  heritage to be protected.
