Aston Martin DB5 is considered one of the most famous vehicles in the world. Its popularity is connected with the movie Goldfinger, taken in 1964, where it first appeared as the car of James Bond played by Sean Connery.
There were only 1021 DB5 built from 1963 through 1965 including: DB5 convertible, denominated "Volante", limited to only 123 pieces and fitted with a 4.0 liter inline six cylinder engine with a manual five speed gearbox and three carburetors. The engine powered by 282 hp enabled the car to reach a speed of 240 Km/h. It was produced in 1964 a more powerful Aston Martin, the DB5 Vintage, limited to only 65 pieces, that was able to increase its performance and generate 315 hp thanks to three Weber carburetors.
The DB5 was designed by Touring Superleggera di Milano, in fact every example of the car has nameplate on the hood. According to auction houses, James Bond's car became more and more expensive in the recent years. It is explainable by the fact that it has never lost its popularity among the fans and enthusiasts of the most famous secret agent in the world from the legendary Sixties...
