Important speakers, included Ezio Ronzoni, CEO of Banca Galileo, Francesco Maria Di Bitetto founder of OldCar24, Gianluigi Vignola of Axa / Art Ademy, took part in the debate. They’re all experts in the subject of the debate. The moderator was professor Maurizio Dallocchio, who is Full Professor of Corporate Finance at the University of Milan. We mainly talked about the vintage car market, its evolution over the last 10 years with an increase of 192%. This remarkable business has behind it an equally noteworthy induced, which includes events, the work of artisan restorers, including many young people who have found in this remunerative activity also a personal fulfillment, for a turnover of 2.2 billion euros year. The classic car turned out to be an investment, not just an individual collector's passion. The Ferrari is the first brand in terms of turnover, and thanks to its entry into Formula 1 the Alfa Romeo has greatly increased its sales; the specimens produced in limited series or custom-built are highly sought after, with prices on the rise.

This market is becoming increasingly global, due to the interest of new countries, including Russia, the Middle East, China.

In Italy, auction houses that previously only dealt with artistic goods, have become part of the vintage and high-level automotive sector. The views of all those who participated in the confrontation are very positive, because today the quality car is considered an art object, due to the aesthetic value of the design and the historical value it brings, including the human value of the brave pilots who have tied their winning names inextricably to the various brands. This heritage needs to be protected, preserved and handed down to future fans not only from Italy but from the world. The passion for historic cars is also witnessed by the numerous visitors, even very young, of the Museums of historical automobile brands. Reason why OldCar24 invited all the viewers of the Bocconi University to Verona Legend Cars 2019.
We look forward to seeing you at our stand!
