HAMILTON WATCHES: PRECISION AND STYLE

Since the 19th century, the huge railway network that crosses the American territory needed to calculate the time of arrivals and departures with great precision. This task was entrusted to the Hamilton Watch Company, which supplied the first American railway companies with its wathces.

This company in Pennsylvania, during the First World War, became an official supplier of the American Army and of the pioneering and acrobatic aeronautics, for the best watch produced in the USA. In the  20s-30s, it dedicated itself to the aesthetics of the product, creating watches in the Deco style, such as the Coronado model, which is now very rare and collectible.

The Ventura of the 50s (1957) was the first battery-powered and self-winding electric watch in the world and it is still reproduced today. It was worn by Elvis Presley in the film "Bluee Hawaii, in 1961. The various Hamilton models owe their success also by being worn by famous movie stars such as Kubrick's 2001 Odyssey, Vivi and Dying (Roger Moore), Independence Day, Superman, Interstellar and others.
