Padua, an amazing city of art, history and saints hosts one of the Europe's most important fair dedicated to historical vehicles and spare parts for vintage cars and motorbikes.
OldCar24, one of the most important internet portal dedicated to vintage vehicles is going to take part in the fair that is going to be an international meeting point of connoisseurs, collectors and motor enthusiasts; Media Partner and the British auction house BONHAMS founded in 1793 are going to attend the show too. The fair saw an intense public interest in models of limited series. The collectors who have honed their skills over the years are now in search of rare and unique vehicles such as Italian custom-built cars that are available in very small numbers on the global market.
Also this year the Bonhams has offered particular auction cars now hard to find. Among the list of these cars there are Italian historical vehicles, driven by one of the most famous stars Anita Ekberg, known for her famous Trevi Fountain scene in the memorable film "La dolce vita" directed by Federico Fellini. In the sixties, next to the big film stars appear equally fabulous automobiles.
Bonhams has also presented a luxurious sports car Jaguar XK 140 (1956) once owned by the famous Swedish actress. This is an extraordinary car, restored to its minimal details.
Another highlight of the show is a 1987 Mercedes 300 SL Convertible. Its owner is thr German Karim Dor, famous for taking part in the film Agent 007 with Sean Connery.
It is as well important to mention a 1925 Bentley 3 Liters, magnificent car with a red emblem as testimony of the luxury and high technology of the British manufacturer.
Another important protagonist of the event is a 1958 Maserati Eldorado called as "monoposto gelato" (single-seater ice-cream) because it was sponsored by the ice-cream company Eldorado. It was the first time when another product was advertised through the sports car.
Maserati took part in Trofeo dei due Mondi at the circuit of Monza. At the wheel of Maserati there was Stirling Moss, famous driver of Formula 1 and winner of 16 Grands Prix.
Among many historic cars that have made the history of avant-grade mechanics and the most exclusive design there is 1954 Mercedes Benz "Gullwing" 300 SL. Its name comes from its gullwin door, also known as a falcon-wing. Opening upwards the doors evoke the image of a seagull's wings. 1957 Mercedes 300 SL Roadster W series 198 is with traditional opening doors.
In 2018 the British manufacturer broke the record at auction with its rarest prototypes of Carrol Shelby Collection.
