The Patek Philippe watches are among the most appreciated and expensive watches of all time. The company, based in Geneve, was founded in 1851 and it is one of the oldest and most prestigious producers of luxury watches. Queen Victoria, others regnants and popes were clients of it. The Patek Philippe has created  watches of eternal value, very complex and some rare customized productions, like  a pocket watch for an American magnate, with 24 complications, among the most precious ever. This extraordinary object was auctioned in 1999 for 11 million dollars and in 2014 it was re-proposed by Sotheby’s, reaching 17 million euros. A 1943 wriststwatch has been sold at the Phillips auction in Geneve in 2016 for 11 million Swiss francs. In 1932 the manufacture created the line CALATRAVA, which was elegant and with a circular watch case. There will be an exemplar in the next November auction at the Pandolfini in Florene. In 2001 the Geneve company created the most complex wristwatch that has ever been produced, the Sky Moon Tourbillon, with a two-dial watch case. These objects, created to measure time, but also to emphasize the figure of their owner, are all finished by hand like jewelry and they have the Patek Philippe’s seal.
