The Legend of Bassano 2018: record-breaking edition

Bassano del Grappa (VI), 26 June 2018 – 100 fearless drivers from the edition 2018 of “La Leggenda di Bassano – Trofeo Giannino Marzotto” went a 670 km route through eight Dolomites passes. This regularity race was organized from 21 to 24 June by Circolo Veneto Automoto d’Epoca “Giannino Marzotto”. The winner of the Trophy and of the Eberhard & Co watches  (Swiss watchmaker that was the main sponsor of the event) were inhabitants of Vicenza, Andrea Giacoppo/ Daniela Grillone Tecioiu  driving a 1933 Fiat 508 S Coppa d’Oro and repeating the success of last year edition.
The Legend of Bassano is an unique historical motorsport event in the world reserved to Sport-Barchetta racing cars built till 1960, added to the FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Vèhicules Anciens) and ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) international calendar.
 
The grand final was held in Piazza Libertà in Bassano del Grappa, where the public had the possibility to admire cars representing 37 different automobile brands from 16 different countries. After facing the challenge “Trofeo Città di Bassano”, the competitors reached the beautiful location of Distillerie Poli in Schiavon and were welcomed by Jacopo Poli and his wife Cristina. There they had a goodbye lunch and received the awards.

A lot of journalists attending the show and Veteran Car Team of Bolzano must be recognized. Like other editions, this record-breaking event will always remain in the history and in our hearts”.
