ITALIAN DESIGNER FOR JAMES BOND
Who did design Triumph Stag Mk1? Giovanni Michelotti
“Diamonds are forever” (1971) is one film of the series Agent 007. The film deals about killer couple involved in illegal trading in diamonds.
James Bond was played by Sean Connery who was not so young but attractive and even more charming with a little bit of grey hair. In order to accomplish his mission as a secret agent, he used two cars: FORD MUSTANG MACH, a MUSCLE CAR, capable of notable performances and Triumph Stag Mk1, a British car produced by Triumph Motor Company between 1970 and 1977.
This car was created by Italian GIOVANNI MICHELOTTI (1921-1980), a Torinese designer. Since he was young he started working at Stabilimenti Farina di Torino. Later he became the first professional designer of vehicle body shops and began to collaborate with the most important Italian and foreign car manufacturers. Triumph Stag is one of the models he created.
