The event has begun on Friday 11 May when over 40 teams came in Genoa from all over Italy. In the early afternoon, after completing the necessary verifications, they drove through “l’Aurelia” to Arenzano Park. On Sunday, after crossing a fascinating hill road, the cars came back in the city center, where they were admired by vintage car enthusiasts in front of San Lorenzo Cathedral, the most important place of worship of Genoa and after that they went on display in Galleria Mazzini.
The event have become hot when, on Sunday morning, the crews have competed in a regularity race with 10 time trials in Corso Italia, closed to traffic for the show.
Here are the winners:
First place went to 1928 Ford Model A driven by Gianmaria Aghem, followed by a Fiat 1100 E driven by Massimiliano Buccioni and a 1934 Lancia Artena driven by Enrico Scotto.
It has been a very interesting event with so many amazing and rare vintage cars, like a 1915 Lancia Theta Sport, two Fiat Balilla Coppa d’Oro, an OM 469, and other pre-war exemplars such as UK’s MG Midget, MG PB and Riley Linx Nine.
