Also this edition will provide a vast program that will include ten regattas in the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean and in New England, in America.
Officine Panerai renews its commitment on international level to the world of classic boats, a real unique community that brings together all enthusiasts of the classic boats, united by the love for the sea and the respect for the traditions. The locations that host the event are going to become real festivals of beautiful “old ladies of the sea” and they will be filled up with a lot of joy and warmness.
Like in previous editions, Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge 2018 is divided in two circuits: the Mediterranean circuit with races in Antibes (France), Porto Santo Stefano (Italy), Imperia (Italy) and Cannes (France). In 2017 Hallowe’en, Linnet and Ganbare won coveted trophy, while Sonny and Valiant enjoyed the victory in regattas of North American Circuit in Marblehead, Newport, Nantucket and Bristol.
To enrich the event’s calendar, beyond Mediterranean and North American Circuit, in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight, will be held the legendary Panerai British Classic Week. For geographical reasons it is impossible to include in the circuit incredible regatta of twelve yachts in the Solent waters.
The protagonist of Mediterranean circuit will be again Eilean, the Bermudian Ketch, purchased and restored by Officine Panerai in 2006 that is now international ambassador of the culture of classic yachts and of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that is supported by Panerai and non-profit organizations every year.
It is important to highlight Moonbeam IV that will take part in the first race of Antibes and compete against all participants including Santanam Dorade, Stormy Weather, Enterprise and Comet with the aim to win the trophy of Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge.
As Panerai just announced, the Panerai Transat Classique 2019 will be a good possibility for enthusiasts of classic boats to enjoy transatlantic regatta for vintage yachts that will be held from Lanzarote to Christophe Harbour in Saint Kitts. Boats will gather on 8th January in 2019 in Arrecife, the capital of the island and will head toward Christophe Harbour in the Lesser Antilles.
This exciting season is about to begin. We are going to follow every event and discover the new protagonists of the sea.
